New Site: Under Construction
My name is Tapakorn Prasertsith (they/them). Terk was my nickname in college. At my first video game tournament, I hurriedly put down "Terkaderk" after seeing everyone's cool alter-egos on the roster. The match commentator mentioned how much they liked yelling it out, and it's stuck ever since.
My love affair with video games started at 5, when my dad returned from Thailand with a legendary (but importantly, illegal) modded PlayStation and a suitcase of 300 games. Compared to my cousin's measly (but legal) SNES collection this was all I ever needed. From then on, games became my connection to the world. I learned the thrill of competition from dad's Street Fighter Alpha lessons, delved into intricate narratives with my sister's Final Fantasy IX explanations, and even bragged a little about my epic game library to envious friends.
Fast forward to 2003, driven to learn more about games, I dove into creating my own with ActionScript. While my artistic skills weren't quite as legendary as my father's PlayStation haul (copyrighted assets were heavily involved), it sparked a lifelong journey of exploration through Unity, RPG Maker, and beyond. This ultimately led me to pursue a BS in Game Programming and Development, finally giving my passion the academic foundation it deserved.
This portfolio showcases the skills I've honed and the worlds I'm eager to build.
